Greg H. Martin

Greg has spent time in nearly every part of the hospitality industry over the last 26 years. After graduating Johnson & Wales University, he bounced around several upscale properties in his hometown of Columbia, SC before landing his first Executive Chef position at Forest Lake Club.  After several years he left to work at beachfront resorts in Maryland and Florida, before returning home to accept the Food & Beverage Director position at The Members Club. Following that he spent six years in healthcare as a Foodservice Director for upscale retirement communities. He then opened his own foodservice group called Primal Gourmet specializing in chef driven prepared meals for multiple nutritional needs, with and a local market and café as well. In 2022, he left his concept (and the states) to move to beautiful St. Thomas VI where he has worked for several upscale concepts.  Now after joining Ocean 180, he looks forward to guiding his team toward making our concept a top dining destination on the island.   Greg is a lifelong boating enthusiast that loves being close to the water and a big fan of anything pirate related.  Annual trips to Las Vegas are not just about enjoying some gambling for him but experiencing the cutting edge restaurants there and staying in tune with current hospitality trends. His favorite part about living in the Caribbean is having the opportunity to conveniently visit so many nearby islands and experience each unique place and culture.
